The new event of Apple will be tomorrow, September 15th: We still don’t know if the new I-Phone will show up. The brand with an amazing marketing strategy left few easter eggs: the name of the event is “Time Flies”, the logo created for it can be seen in Augmented Reality and… Everyone can watch the event online at 10 a.m. PDT at apple.com

Greg Joswiak, also known as Joz (it’s not a coincidence that the nickname is similar to co-founder of Apple, Woz), head of Apple marketing shares this short video where apple logo, such as a blue shaded ball of yarn, unleash itself into the date you have to remember: 9.15.

Joz is not the only one that can enjoy this logo in AR: everyone who has and I Phone or I Pad, can open Safari, go to apple.com/apple-events/ click on the logo and… the logo will appear in your room!

After that you can choose the dimension of it while it will unleash into a 9.15, such as in the video above.

While we are very excited for tomorrow, we are also thinking that while waiting “Time doesn’t fly!”... And that means tha Joz has done a great job!

So let’s look at 5 of the lessons we learnt from this campain:

  1. Wow Factor – Yes, the AR is a very good choice for that!
  2. Suspense – Only few info about the event: a logo, the time and where! Will a new I Phone drop? Who knows!
  3. Brand loyalty– Only who has an iOS device can have Apple logo unleashing around his room!
  4. Branding – Has Samsung done something similar these days?
  5. Simplicity – Apple marketing style is very linear and clear: Remember “Lightness Stikes Again” the campain to promote MacBook Air in 2018?
